Cookie policy
This policy explains how Eqon Consulting LLC uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and in the advertising we operate for clients. Read it alongside our privacy policy.
01What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a site. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage, and device or mobile advertising identifiers. They let a site remember your actions and let advertisers measure and target campaigns. We refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.
02Categories we use
We group cookies by purpose. Advertising cookies are central to how performance acquisition works.
| Category | Purpose | Set by |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Required to load the site, route requests, and keep it secure. These cannot be switched off. | First party |
| Performance | Measure traffic and how the site is used so we can improve it. Aggregated and pseudonymous. | First & third party |
| Advertising | Deliver, target, cap, and attribute ads; build and measure audiences; detect invalid traffic. | Third party |
| Functional | Remember preferences such as language or prior choices to improve your experience. | First party |
03Third-party cookies
To run and measure campaigns, we work with advertising platforms, publishers, analytics providers, and measurement vendors that may set their own cookies. Their use of data is governed by their own policies. We require partners to handle data consistent with applicable law and our agreements.
04Managing cookies
- Consent banner. Where required, we request consent for non-essential cookies and let you change your choices at any time.
- Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
- Mobile identifiers. Device settings on iOS and Android let you reset or limit ad identifiers.
- Industry opt-outs. Opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org).
05Do Not Track and global signals
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" or global privacy control signals. Where the law requires us to honor a recognized opt-out preference signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for that browser.
06Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our use of cookies or the law changes. The current version, with its date, will always be posted here.
